Welcome to the first ever Ross High Times book corner. To kick things off this year, we’d like to introduce you to Webtoons number one phenomenon, New York Times number one bestselling series, and hit comic book series… ladies and gentlemen please welcome Lore Olympus! The amazing thing about this series is that it’s available for online reading or you can read it the old fashioned way.
This book is highly recommended to those of you who love a heart throbbing and action pack romance comic book series. Lore Olympus is one of many rewrites of the famous love story of the gods Hades/Aidoneus (Ruler of the Underworld and God of the Dead) and Persephone/Kore (Goddess of Spring and Bringer of Death). This book mixes modern culture with old Greek mythology and lore.
The first book of the series is about how Hades meets Persephone. Haunted by his past, Hades consumes himself with work and proclaims himself unworthy of true love… that is until a goddess more beautiful than anything he’s ever seen (even Aphrodite herself) stumbled into his life.
Persephone is finally free from her mother Demeter (Goddess of the Harvest and Earth), but the only reason she was allowed to leave was because of the help of her new best friend/roommate Artemis (Goddess of the Hunt). But she didn’t expect how hard it was going to be to try and fit into the fast life in Olympus. That is, until she finds herself in the care of the King of the Underworld and finds out how much she likes the Underworld… and its ruler.
With rumors and myths going around Olympus and futures at stake, will Aidoneus ever truly let go of his past? Will Kore ever learn who she truly is and what she truly wants? Until we get these answers we will never know if Hades and Persephone live there happily ever after.
The whole series is available on Webtoon, but only seven out of the eight books are released. The eighth book is set to be released on May 6, 2025 to complete the series. I hope everyone can join me next month for my next book recommendation. Also, please feel free to suggest a book that I should review. See you guys again next month.
