Welcome back to the Ross High Times Book Corner. Today’s book is actually a series: the Bellinger Sisters series by New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey, who also wrote “The Academy”, “Romancing The Clarksons”, and “Line Of Duty”.
The Bellinger Sister series mainly focuses on the sister duo, Piper and Hannah Bellinger, following them on their journeys of truth, love, and self-discovery. The book opens the readers to a world where anything is possible as long as you put your heart and mind to it.
Book one of the Bellinger Sisters series is titled “It Happened One Summer” and focuses on older sister Piper Bellinger. Piper never knew life before moving to Beverly Hills, so she never knew about her father who died at sea. After an epic party crash, Piper’s stepfather cuts her off, and on top of that, he sends her to Westport, Washington—her birthplace.
Piper, being a true California girl was devastated by the move until she met Brendan Taggart, fearless, stubborn, and handsome captain of the Delay Ray. Unfortunately, Brendan doesn’t see ‘eye to eye’ with Piper. Will she finally plant her roots… or will she never find where she truly belongs?
Taggart has always had a plan. Things in Westport never changed with him around until beautiful, California girl Piper Bellinger comes stumbling into his life. Taggart tries to stay on course, but he can’t break the spell Piper has set on him. Will he let go of his past, Or will he never be able to break the chains?
Book two is titled “Hook, Line, and Sinker” and focuses on younger sister Hannah Bellinger. Hannah has always let her older sister take the spotlight. But after meeting Fox Thornton, she starts to wonder if she would rather be her own leading lady. Making moves in her job as a personal assistant is one thing, but making moves on a man known for his ‘ways’ with women is another. Will Hannah walk into the spotlight, Or walk further into the dark?
Thornton was given his name for a reason and it has always been clear to him why. He never challenged the thought until he met Hannah Bellinger. Ever since she came to Westport with her party girl sister, Piper, Thornton can’t help but wonder what’s possible. Will he learn to let his past go, or will he always be controlled by others?
Both books will evoke emotions that you never knew existed, lessons that you never knew could be learned, and stories you never knew could be told. This book would make a perfect Christmas gift for anyone who loves a good romance.
