Over spring break is a fun but minor holiday full of pranks and gags. April Fool’s Day is celebrated in many different ways — some may spend this day in fear, while others may be searching for the next person to prank.
Some students prank their fellow classmates or teachers in many different ways, such as gaslighting. For example, Ross High School Senior Emily Peters “pranked their coach by gaslighting them, causing them to think there was a major problem, saying that she had an issue with her, but in the end, they just asked if they knew the muffin man to show that it was a joke.”
Another way in which students prank teachers is through embarrassment. One example of this includes the show choir, which has dug up many embarrassing photos of their director, Miss Thompson.
Although students prank teachers, sometimes the inverse can also happen. Both the softball coach and show choir director found many silly photos, including baby pictures, of their athletes. They then spread these photos around their respective classrooms.
Even though April Fools may be seen as a childish holiday, it can be a lighthearted way for people to bring out their inner child. With both teachers and kids pulling off the pranks, April Fools’ Day can bring joy to all ages.
