Ross High School Science teacher Brian Streng receives tips on how to properly hydrate at the TriHealth Wellness Fair.

On Feb. 15, all Ross Local School District staff members were treated to a health and wellness fair sponsored by TriHealth in the gym of Ross Middle school. At this event, staff members could receive massages, get an EKG check, experience cupping, sit in on sleep workshops, and get advice on how to live a healthy lifestyle.

“Every booth is important because there is somebody in the district who is going to be gravitating toward that… and to me that is what is most important about the wellness fair; it’s going to impact somebody somehow,” said Ross Local Schools Superintendent Scott Gates.

This is the second year that TriHealth has sponsored this event for RLSD. Science teacher Brian Streng took full advantage of the resources offered last Friday.

“It’s a great opportunity for solid data. Everyone can say they’re healthy, but it’s good to get concrete data. Also, if I wanted to go to the doctor, my copay would be $50. This gives me the opportunity to get information I need for free,” said Streng.

Ross administration plans to have TriHealth return to campus next year as well.
