Did you know that there are 1.3 billion Christmas cards sent yearly? Christmas is a worldwide holiday celebrated in December. This is a whole month you have to celebrate with friends, family, and activities.

The first thing you can do to get in the Christmas spirit is to set up a Christmas tree in your home. According to polling by the American Christmas Tree Association, 77% of people have a fake Christmas tree in their home due to expenses, and possible fire hazards in the house. Meanwhile, a decent amount of people have multiple trees in their houses, consisting of artificial and live. After getting a tree, you and your family can help decorate the tree with lights, tinsel, ornaments, and a tree topper.

Another fun activity to do with family or friends is to play in the snow. Depending on where you’re located during the wintertime, you most likely get a good amount of snowfall. While playing in the snow, you can make a snow angel or even build a snowman. Another option, while it is cold out, is Perfect North Slopes. This is a ski resort located about 35 minutes away from Ross. They have multiple options such as skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. Even if you don’t have your own equipment, you can rent just about anything you may need. They don’t have a set opening day because they can blow fake snow. This is a perfect all-day activity for your family and friends to experience.

Another simple activity you can do during the wintertime is to stay warm inside, watch movies, build a gingerbread house, and even make Christmas cookies. You can never fail to get a good laugh out of a gingerbread house competition. While making a gingerbread house, you can always turn on a movie. Did you know the top 2 rated Christmas movies in the past year are Elf and Home Alone?

One last activity you can do is go ice skating. The UCHealth Ice Rink is in downtown Cincinnati. This is also about 35 minutes away from Ross. They are open 7 days a week, leaving plenty of time for you and your friends to go for just $10 a person with no reservations needed. Have fun, dress warm, and don’t get hurt!

Make sure you’re spending time with family and friends on this heartwarming, cozy holiday. Merry Christmas!
