What Is Highschool Like In 2024 ?

Highschool is one of the most difficult places for a lot of people especially with technology and social media. But over the years it has changed a lot because of how the world is evolving and how the schools are differently of running.

“How is highschool impacting kids in 2024 ?” Nicole Kern stated. This is a question most parents are asking now a days. Most kids are highly impacted by the people around them, and things going on online. That is why its important to have a safe and smart environment around them.

High School is very different than it was even ten years ago. With there being cell phones there is many more things out there for children to better themselves but also for the worse. “We never had phones so that caused us to have to pay more attention to school and what is more important then social media.” Patrick Canaan (T3 Fitness owner) expressed.

Also, along with students buying drugs and alcohol many students are worried about how much money they’ll be making at their jobs, causing them to go down the wrong path. Many students are reporting depression and anxiety, which can be caused by these substances. 

Additionally, some children are now having panic attacks regarding going to school or being in crowds. Teenagers have lost a lot of there normal lives because of what is being put out into the world now. “School is boring now and there is to many regulations on things”, Eva Johnson (current junior at RHS) quotes. Many students may get anxiety from the regulations that are attached to highschool. 

We don’t want to lose out on our childhood. Therefore, we need to study the impact technology has on us and, how to use it responsibly. If we tackle the things that are causing kids to lose themselves due to highschool and the events happening around them.
